Cleveland Scene Jumps Into the Fray

Great article by up-and-commer Kyle Swenson in today's Cleveland Scene. It gives a comprehensive outline of the Frank Dienes/Kopp story and includes some new information from neighbors, including this nugget:

One former neighbor, Tom Carolin, remembers Kopp telling the kids around Rustic Oval to stay away from Dienes because he'd "killed Amy."

Again, Dienes lawyer Eric Nemecek lies about Dienes being ruled out as a suspect, but since BV detectives didn't return Swensen's calls, the lie couldn't be refuted.

This is a great piece. The PD reporters should be taking a lesson from this Scene writer.

I had read in an older post that when Amys body was discovered that there was something that she may have been covered with near her or next to her. James had indicated that this was a unique item in some way. Does anyone know what the item was. Couldnt this help point to a suspect in some way?

I wonder if it could have been one of those people that heard from Joe or that lived on or near Rustic Oval that called Dienes in in '95 as a look alike based on Joes statements.

Did the Dienes family move from Ashland to Seven Hills in 1990? or from somewhere else? Franks brothers house (also in seven hills) went up for sale not two weeks after the Joe Kopp story was uncovered.....was this due to the recent events involving Joe Kopp....maybe this family runs when there is a surronding circumstance. Maybe there was a surronding circumstance back in '89 that led them to need to make a move to seven hills.....hmmm?
